Extended Services - Breakfast Club/After School Club Assistant
The Headteacher and Governors of this OFSTED outstanding-rated school are seeking to appoint a
PART TIME BREAKFAST/AFTER SCHOOL/HOLIDAY CLUB ASSISTANT (Extended Services Assistant)
to assist the Breakfast/After School/Holiday Club Supervisors in the day to day organisation and running of the extended services clubs. Duties will be varied and will involve assisting the supervisors in planning and running play activities; provision of breakfasts/snacks; administering first aid; cleaning duties and some administrative tasks. You must enjoy working with primary age children, be self-motivated and possess the ability to provide creative play activities in a safe, caring environment. Recent experience of working with children is required. A minimum NVQ 2 in Play Work or Childcare & Education is preferred but not essential, with a willingness to undertake NVQ training.
Candidates must be able to model good use of English language.
The successful applicant will be working term time only on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 07:45 to 09:00am. Applicants should also be willing to cover for staff absence from time to time on other weekdays, (including after school between 3:15pm-5:45pm), and a willingness to work during school holidays is preferable. School holiday hours of work would fall between 07:45am and 5:15pm up to a maximum of 37 hours per week, though overtime may be available.
The post will be until 31st August 2020 initially, with a view to becoming permanent for the successful candidate, after a suitable probationary period.
The salary for the post will be paid at Warrington Council’s Grade 3, starting at scale point 4 and rising to scale point 5 after a year. This equates to an hourly rate of £9.55 rising to £9.74 before statutory deductions.
