Some useful information about Year Two

Year Two Class Teachers: Miss Dunn

Classroom Support: Mrs Cotton, Mrs Harrop and Miss Taylor

We look forward to working with you and your children over the next year. Please feel free to come and talk to us at the end of each school day. With the exception of Wednesday, when we have our staff meeting, we will always aim to be available to discuss the children's learning.

The children will continue to have games skills on a Wednesday with Mrs Ellis, and I will teach a combination of dance, gym and 'Real PE' on Tuesday and Thursday.

The children will need PE kits on these days, preferably in one bag. Trainers will only be needed on Wednesdays.

Homework changing will be weekly, on a Friday, but should be completed on a 'little and often' basis not in one or two sittings. Please continue to complete the children's reading records and send them in every Friday. Bug Club will be a vital part of the children's homework reading. Please support the children with this, especially the comprehension questions. I can monitor this and it is a very useful tool to see how much the children are understanding their reading.

Finally, do have a look around the Year Two pages for information about the curriculum. As the term progresses more up to date images of the children learning will appear.
