Y5 Jackson Pollock Topographical Artwork

5th January 2017
As part of their themed work, Year 5 created a piece of topographical art in the style of North American artist, Jackson Pollock. They stretched and distorted a map of North America to fill the class display board and used colour to represent the heights above sea level and depth of water. As you can see, this geographical approach to experimenting with Pollock's 'action painting' style has resulted in an amazing piece of art!
