Abbie and Isabella (Y6) are both members of the City of Salford Synchronised Swimming Club who have just won a silver medal at the Swim England Combo Cup!
Abbie and Isabella both train with the 12&under age group team and train 2 or 3 times a week working on technical skills, flexibility and routines.
Due to the pandemic, all competitions in 2021 took place virtually. Teams had to perform their routines at their home pool and film them to send to the panel of judges. These videos were then shown on a livestream and the results were announced. Abbie, Isabella and their teammates swam a ‘Wizard of Oz’ themed routine and their hard work was rewarded with a score of 51.8333 and they won the silver medal.
The team are now in training for the North West Championships which is taking place in Blackpool in February.
