Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Nursery Class
Twiss Green Community Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work in our newly established nursery class. Due to increased numbers in our nursery class from January, we are looking for an additional member of staff to support our dedicated nursery staff team in providing a warm, welcoming nursery provision which supports the needs of every child.
About the Role
- Work closely with our experienced nursery team under the guidance of senior staff.
- Initially three days per week (Tuesday–Thursday) during the spring term, increasing to five days per week in the summer term. There is potential for full-time hours earlier if nursery numbers grow.
- This role also has the potential to continue into next academic year.

- A passionate practitioner with at least two years’ experience in an EYFS setting and a full and relevant EYFS qualification.
- Someone who is committed to creating a nurturing, stimulating environment for young learners.

The position will initially be 18 hours per week (Tuesday – Thursday) term time only, plus one week for staff training. The position will then increase to 30 hours per week (Monday – Friday) from summer term. This will be a fixed term position until the end of 2025-26 academic year, with potential to continue into next academic year.
The salary for the post will be based on Grade 4, point 6 -7 (FTE £25,989 - £26,403).
