Parent Governor Vacancy

We are looking for someone to join the Twiss Green Community Primary School Governing Board as a Parent Governor, ideally with experience in safeguarding, legal services and health and safety.

Governors do not need to be experts in education and are not involved in the day-to-day running of the school, but they are responsible for setting the school’s strategic framework and ensuring it provides a high-quality education for all its pupils.

Governors are required to participate as follows:

1. To attend termly meetings of the full Governing Board.
2. To sit on committees, eg the performance and curriculum committee or the finance committee, which also meet termly.
3. To monitor a class or subject area.
4. To visit the school informally from time to time.
